Acceptable Use Policy

Klinikbook is built for businesses that look after patients and follow the rules of their profession. This policy lists what may not be done with it, so that the service stays lawful and safe for everyone who uses it.

In short

  • Use Klinikbook for your own lawful business, with the licences your work requires.
  • Contact people only with the consents your law requires.
  • Do not keep clinical records or data that needs an agreement we have not signed.
  • Do not attack, overload or misuse the service.

Not allowed

  • acting as an intermediary between patients and health-care providers, or selling health-tourism services, without the authorisation the law requires - in Türkiye, the authorisation of the Ministry of Health for health-tourism intermediaries;
  • health advertising or promotion the law forbids, including misleading statements, promises of results and the use of patients' images or testimonials without the permission the law requires;
  • sending commercial messages to people who have not given the consent the law requires, or without honouring their withdrawal - in Türkiye, the rules of the commercial electronic message management system (İYS);
  • keeping clinical records - diagnoses, treatment notes, prescriptions, test results kept as a medical record - in Klinikbook, which is not a health information system;
  • storing data whose law requires an agreement Klinikbook has not signed, for example protected health information under the US HIPAA without a business associate agreement;
  • storing or sending unlawful content: content that infringes others' rights, discriminates, harasses or deceives, or personal data without a lawful basis;
  • trying to reach other workspaces' data or accounts that are not yours, testing the service for weaknesses without our written permission, spreading malware, overloading the service, or getting round its limits and protections;
  • copying, rebuilding or reselling Klinikbook, or reaching it by automated means other than those it offers.

If something is wrong

If we learn of a use that breaks this policy, we tell the workspace's owner and ask for it to be put right. Where the law requires it, or where there is a risk to people, to other customers or to the service, we may at once remove the content concerned or suspend the account or the workspace, only as far as necessary, and restore it when the reason ends.
