Importing in three steps
The owner and administrators may import.
Prepare your file
Save your spreadsheet as CSV; in Excel choose “CSV UTF-8”. The first row must hold the column names. The file may be up to 5 MB and 20,000 rows; if it is larger, split it and import the parts one after the other.
Open the import screen
In the sidebar open “Contacts” and choose “Import contacts”. The “Import” button on the “Import your patients” step of the quick start list leads to the same screen.
“Choose the file”
Pick your CSV file and press “Read the file”. Klinikbook reads it and shows how many rows it found and the columns.
“Match the columns”
For each column choose the “Field in Klinikbook”; Turkish and English column names are mostly recognised on their own. Use “Leave out” for a column you do not want. Fields such as name, phone, e-mail, country and language can be matched.
Set the values shared by everyone
Under “For every imported contact” choose where these people came from (the source), the tags to add and the country for numbers written without a country code. A value in the file wins over these.
Choose how to treat duplicates
With “Skip people who are already in your contacts” on, a row whose phone number or e-mail address already belongs to a contact is not added again.
Start the import and read the result
Press “Import … rows”. You can leave the page; the import carries on. When it ends you see the Added, Skipped and Could not import counts and “Rows to check”.
For a clean result
- Write phone numbers with the country code (+90 532 …); if you cannot, choose the country in the shared values.
- Write dates as YYYY-MM-DD or DD.MM.YYYY.
- Countries and languages may be written as a code or a name; Turkish and English names are recognised.
- A tag or source that is not on your lists is left off the new contact; the problem rows say why.
Frequently asked questions
I imported the wrong file. Can I undo it?
You can stop a running import with “Stop the import”; the contacts already added stay. There is no button that undoes a finished import as a whole; you would delete the contacts one by one.
Do imported people count as having agreed to marketing?
No. The import only creates the contact record. A marketing consent exists only when the person's consent is recorded; do not send promotional messages to people without one.
